Why Berlin?

The big investment boom in Berlin property all started in 2007. Foreign investors saw the opportunity of East German cites such as Berlin and Dresden whose property prices were about 30% lower then the rest of the country and not to mention often 1/10th of UK prices and 1/5th of France’s prices. Because of the stagnant economic situations in the past, property prices have remained low although the economic situation has greatly increased along with the purchase power of the average Berliner. This formula allows greater yields then what are expected in other cites in Europe.

The amount of available real estate is astounding as home ownership levels in Germany are on average just 10%. Berliners like to travel and almost always prefer to rent. Sadly many Berliners are still cautious of owning property because of the unstable past of so many people dislocated through two world wars and the division of the city during the Cold War. These factors contribute to the ease foreign investors are experiencing in finding the property investments they truly desire.
